Help Her Stay Safe—Even While She Sleeps

Meet a vibrant, fearless teen who lives life to the fullest. Whether she’s cheerleading, riding ATVs, camping with friends, or casting a line at the lake, she embraces every adventure with energy and courage. But beneath the surface of her active lifestyle is a hidden danger—type 1 diabetes—that doesn’t take breaks, even when she does.

casting a line!

Despite wearing a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM), she doesn’t always wake up when her blood sugar drops dangerously low during the night. And during her busy days, it’s easy to miss early signs that her levels are off. That’s where a highly trained diabetic alert service dog could be a lifesaver.

CGM
Despite the CGM, sometimes the alarm doesn't wake her up.

A service dog would add a critical layer of protection—alerting her when her blood sugar gets too high or low, especially while she’s sleeping or distracted. Her goal is to have a dog trained to paw or lick her awake during dangerous nighttime lows that could lead to seizures or even coma. She also hopes her future partner can notify her when high blood sugar persists too long, or signal her during physical activity before things escalate.

Your support can help give her the freedom to keep doing what she loves—cheering, fishing, hunting, and living fully—with the safety and peace of mind that only a medical alert service dog can provide.

Hunting
Living life to the fullest!

💛 Fun fact: She’s never afraid to try new foods—yes, even sardines and smoked oysters from the can—and she’s a die-hard Grey’s Anatomy fan (every episode, at least three times!).
